Entry, difficulty & preparation

Use bombs to break the starting barricades. Gather everyone before activating the totem room: the room locks, and bomb boxes help clear its enemy waves. Open checkpoints along the route.

Watchdog Quapo

Agree which side to clear before the jumping phase. You need usable floor for the landing as well as for the shockwave.

Tell / phaseYour responseWhy it matters
Thunder Cry, around 75% / 25%Collect small blue orbs to clear a safe area; jump the shockwave when the boss lands.Uncollected orbs explode over large areas.
Chasing purple orbsMove away from their detonation circles. These are hazards, unlike the small collectible blue orbs.
Large spread marker on tankKeep other players out.Additional bodies increase the damage.

Necromancer Dunka

Assign a backup soul killer in case the primary player is immobilized. The buff is what enables the add assignment.

Tell / phaseYour responseWhy it matters
Soul adds around 75% / 50% / 15%Assigned player collects the white orb in the north and kills the adds before the absorption cast finishes.Remaining souls heal and strengthen the boss.
Soul Caller pull around 65% / 30%Run beyond the indicated area while avoiding incoming stun orbs.Damage increases with proximity; staying near the centre can kill you.
Bound player in shared-damage poolJoin the target and heal through the shared damage while respecting other attacks. The pool is intended to be shared, not abandoned.

Ferocious Horn Nuakum

Gather in clean floor before the clone phase, agree the interception order and name a backup. Do not confuse the small stack with the large spread marker.

Tell / phaseYour responseWhy it matters
Three bleed stacks / expiry timerPlace the resulting blood pool along the edge. The source’s bleed cannot be cleansed; floor control matters.
Clone phase around 75% / 55%One player intercepts the clone before it hits the bound target; others stack for the small marker or separate for the large marker. The dash and the stack/spread are simultaneous jobs.
Repeated clone dashesRotate interceptors rather than letting one player take every hit.The interception debuff makes repeated soaking dangerous.
Blue Light of Destruction around 30%Marked target lines up boss → central orb → player. Repeat successful interceptions three times.Failing to break the orb before the cast completes wipes the group.
Bound target after orb phaseTwo different teammates intercept the successive projectiles. The bound target cannot safely take the direct hit.

Difficulty changes & encounter details

Hard adds an explosion with fear where a clone disappears. Move out promptly after resolving stack/spread. This guide is also cross-checked against FRESHY’s September overview.

Tank, healer & DPS assignments

Strategy recommendation

Suggested preparation for this encounter. These assignments are editorial recommendations based on the mechanics above.

RoleAssignment
TankKeep blood pools away from future gathering spots; join the interceptor rotation.
Healer / supportPrepare sustained healing for Dunka’s shared pool and recovery between clone interceptions.
DPSAssign a soul killer, rotate interceptors and do not tunnel damage through the central-orb check.

After a wipe: fix the cause

Strategy recommendation

Name the failed mechanic before the next pull. Check whether the target moved too early, the group missed its assignment, or a required cooldown was unavailable. Reassign a backup for any job that can target its original owner. Surviving the mechanic comes before completing a damage rotation.

  • Call the next mechanic before the HP threshold; the actual cast may occur later.
  • If a hit-count object is involved, use fast direct hits rather than assuming a long damage cooldown is better.
  • Save burst for a real vulnerability window after the group has completed its movement.
  • Check the current entry panel for loot probabilities and reward availability before spending another run.
