Passive skills & investment priorities

Max these passives first — in this order

For Farm, put your passive upgrade points into the priority skills below. Max the first one, then the next, until this list is complete. Do not spread points across optional passives first.

  1. Focused Eye — max Base Lv. 10
  2. Hunter's Resolve — max Base Lv. 10
  3. Wind Vigor — max Base Lv. 10

Focused Eye

1. Max first · Base Lv. 10

Increases accuracy, damage amplification and a bonus-strike stat.

A leading passive priority for gear and Arcana bonus ranks.

Hunter's Resolve

2. Max first · Base Lv. 10

Increases critical damage amplification.

A leading offensive passive alongside Focused Eye.

Wind Vigor

3. Max first · Base Lv. 10

Increases stamina and grants movement speed after being attacked.

Mobility utility rather than the first PvE damage passive.

Optional passives — after your priorities

Keep these at their initial rank while completing the priority list. Invest leftover points only when their effect helps your build or encounter.

Vigilant Eye

Optional · upgrade after the priority list

Increases evasion and maximum HP; evading restores health.

Defensive investment after the core offensive package or when survival is the problem.

Concentrated Fire

Optional · upgrade after the priority list

Chance to add wind damage against a target taking damage over time.

Maintain bleeding/burning to support its condition.

Resistant Resolve

Optional · upgrade after the priority list

Increases physical/control-type resistance.

Situational defense, with lower priority for comfortable damage farming.

Rooting Eye

Optional · upgrade after the priority list

Attacks can add wind damage against slowed/rooted targets.

Maintain the condition instead of treating this as unconditional bonus damage.

Melee Fire

Optional · upgrade after the priority list

Attacks can add wind damage; close targets can be pushed away.

A secondary damage passive; the knockback may affect positioning.

Revival Contract

Optional · upgrade after the priority list

Status resistance and conditional low-health recovery, with more resistance while controlled.

A personal safety option, not a substitute for movement or a control break.

Hunter's Soul

Optional · upgrade after the priority list

Critical hits can deal additional wind damage.

An offensive follow-up after the two main passive priorities.

GLOBAL EU · Ranged damage

Ranger consumables

Combine attack preparation with reliable repositioning. Carry your own recovery so a movement mechanic does not turn into an avoidable death.

Role recommendations are editorial. Item effects come from NC’s Global EU records, checked 30 September 2026; the rest of this class guide keeps its own region scope.

Before attacking

Power Shard (Bound)

Activate for attack windows; ordinary shards are the budget starting point.

Timed combat buff

Courage Scroll (Bound)

Check the five-minute timer before a serious pull.

Food choice

Artisan's Roasted Fogus (Bound)

An all-faction attack/accuracy food option from supplies and rewards. A practical choice when already owned; check stock before buying alternatives.

Role priority

Superior Speed Scroll (Bound)

A stronger movement option for movement-heavy encounters. Keep it separate from Combat Speed in your preparation checklist.

Personal emergency

Life Crystal (Bound)

Check the level requirement. Keep instant recovery reachable; avoid overhealing.

Attack/accuracy food is a practical general choice. Refresh timed buffs during safe downtime and return to a safe attacking position.

Battle Enhance Scroll (Bound) is an optional damage-and-survival addition for serious attempts. Superior Healing Potion is a personal cleanse for eligible effects, not an HP heal.

Quick start: role, strengths and tradeoffs

Build recommendation

Ranger combines Dead Shot preparation, Gale Arrow uptime and critical-triggered Drill Dart with ranged resource weaving. Its early mana setup and developed cooldown-reset build use different specialty priorities.

TopicPractical meaning
StrengthRanged damage, mobile specialties and strong interaction between critical hits and developed cooldown effects.
TradeoffCharged attacks and low early MP require planning; standing still at maximum range is not always safe.
ChoiceExplosive Arrow favors a condition-based damage slot; Supporting Fire offers sustained contribution and recovery.

Choose a four-slot PvE Stigma loadout

Build recommendation

Equip one row, not every listed Stigma simultaneously. These are editorial presets derived from the mechanics and reviewed builds; change the flex slot for an actual encounter requirement.

PresetFour StigmasWhen to use it
Developed sustained PvEVaizel's Authority; Bow of Blessing; Griffin Arrow; Supporting FireTheWhelps' four-slot direction; maintain buffs and repeated attack uptime.
Damage alternativeVaizel's Authority; Bow of Blessing; Griffin Arrow; Explosive ArrowFRESHY's alternative; use slow/root conditions where they apply.
Dangerous progressionVaizel's Authority; Bow of Blessing; Griffin Arrow; Nature's BreathTrade the fourth offensive slot for survival rather than repeatedly dying.

Before the pull

Build recommendation

Check your preset, resource bar, selected specialties and party assignments before starting. A developed rotation only works when its rank-dependent effects are actually equipped.

  1. Confirm the party role and required survival or control tool.
  2. Confirm your main skill-rank thresholds in the skill screen after changing gear.
  3. Use the appropriate consumable and position for both damage and party support.
  4. Identify the first dangerous mechanic and reserve the skill that answers it.

Evidence: NC · official Ranger skills ↗ · FRESHY · 2026-09-24 ↗

Opening rotation: step by step

Build recommendation

Use this as a decision sequence. Skip unavailable conditional skills and interrupt for mechanics; do not stand idle waiting for the entire opener to return.

  1. Activate Vaizel's Authority and Bow of Blessing before the damage window.
  2. Apply Marking Shot, then fully charge Dead Shot in a safe opening.
  3. Establish Gale Arrow and Griffin Arrow, use Drill Dart when triggered and continue your spender/basic-attack weave.
  4. Refresh the developed Precision effect before it expires; TheWhelps uses roughly three seconds remaining as his practical refresh cue.
  5. Keep charge and movement decisions manual when boss mechanics interrupt the sequence.

Single-target priority and resource loop

Build recommendation

The next correct action depends on buffs, target state, resources and the upcoming mechanic.

PriorityActionExecution
1Mechanics / rangeMove early enough to preserve the next safe charged shot.
2Buff and Precision uptimeDo not let the developed Dead Shot benefit lapse through filler spam.
3Gale Arrow / Drill DartMaintain the self-buff and consume critical-triggered damage opportunities.
4Griffin Arrow / selected fourth StigmaUse condition-based damage when its conditions are present.
5Tempest Shot / SnipeSustain the loop with basic MP recovery; add Burst Arrow and other damage as appropriate.

Skill progression and specialty milestones

Build recommendation

Total skill level includes bonus ranks. Mastery Specialty slots open at total levels 8, 12 and 20: one, two and three slots respectively. All five options are available at total 16, but only two can be selected until total 20. Stigma milestones are separate and must be read on the specific skill.

SkillMilestoneWhat changes
Snipe / Tempest ShotEarly specialtyMP restoration and spender MP reduction before developed damage options.
Dead ShotEarly faster charge; later total 20Mobility, faster charge and damage-over-time options compete for slots.
Gale ArrowDeveloped total 20Duration, movement and cooldown options sustain the loop.
Drill Dart16 then 20 as budget allowsSpeed/multihit/additional activation; HP absorption remains a solo option.
Tempest ShotDeveloped 16 firstDo not pay for 20 unless the third selected option is worth the cost.
Vaizel's AuthorityDeveloped Stigma 20The source build gains critical-hit cooldown-reduction interaction; build the affordable core first.
Marking Shot / Snare ShotDeveloped 12 baselineA low-investment early setup differs from the developed utility plan.

Passive skills: what earns its points

Build recommendation

Focused Eye and Hunter's Resolve are central priorities in the reviewed guides; support them with useful critical and damage-over-time interactions. Hunter's Soul follows the core. Do not remove every defensive passive just because the geared example survives; choose based on incoming damage and actual encounter conditions.

Evidence: NC · official Ranger skills ↗ · FRESHY · 2026-09-24 ↗ · TheWhelps · 2026-09-28 ↗ · aLuckyRO · 2026-09-04 ↗

Packs, area damage and farming

Build recommendation

Let enemies gather, apply the relevant control condition and place Explosion Trap where the pack will remain. Griffin Arrow and Explosive Arrow complement area damage, while Drill Dart and Tempest Shot contribute to the repeat loop. Avoid scattering the pull with unnecessary movement/control skills. Supporting Fire is an alternative slot, not an extra fifth skill in the baseline.

Evidence: NC · official Ranger skills ↗ · FRESHY · 2026-09-24 ↗ · TheWhelps · 2026-09-28 ↗ · aLuckyRO · 2026-09-04 ↗

Group mechanics, survival and utility

Build recommendation

Stay within party support coverage while keeping a safe firing line. Charge Dead Shot only when the next mechanic permits it. Use Nature's Breath before pressure, hold Shock Release for control and avoid treating a stationary training-dummy macro as a complete boss strategy. During movement, prioritize the mobile options you actually equipped.

Evidence: NC · official Ranger skills ↗ · FRESHY · 2026-09-24 ↗ · TheWhelps · 2026-09-28 ↗ · aLuckyRO · 2026-09-04 ↗

Daevanion: route priorities

Build recommendation

Reach useful skill thresholds first, then nearby offensive nodes and Focused Eye/Hunter's Resolve ranks. TheWhelps emphasizes total level 12 access before expensive detours for minor MP. Choose routes by connected cost and the actual regional board; his developed Korean layout is not a coordinate template for every client.

Select the destination, inspect all prerequisite nodes and compare the total cost. A nearby useful passive can make a slightly different route better than the shortest route through irrelevant bonuses. Save the preset before testing a different role.

Evidence: NC · Daevanion ↗ · NC · official Ranger skills ↗ · FRESHY · 2026-09-24 ↗

Bonus skill ranks: board, accessories and Arcana

Build recommendation

Plan Dead Shot and Gale Arrow at 20, then Drill Dart and Snipe at their useful thresholds. A source example is 10 basic + 4 Daevanion + 2 ring + 4 Arcana ranks; count your own available sources instead of assuming every item provides that exact allocation.

Evidence: NC · official Ranger skills ↗ · FRESHY · 2026-09-24 ↗ · TheWhelps · 2026-09-28 ↗ · aLuckyRO · 2026-09-04 ↗

Gear and stat decisions

Build recommendation

TheWhelps shows crafted weapon/guard/accessories with dungeon armor as a budget direction. Weapon targets include combat speed, weapon damage boost, damage boost and might; a further roll may provide multihit. Gloves favor combat speed and boots movement. Shoulders can supply critical damage. Rings that complete Dead Shot/Gale Arrow ranks can matter more than a small generic-stat upgrade. Accuracy requirements depend on the enemy; his Korean dungeon number is not a universal cap.

Compare the same encounter and buff conditions. Accuracy is a requirement against the actual target, not one universal number. A rank threshold, a survivable hit or a sustainable resource loop can be worth more than a small increase in displayed combat power.

Evidence: NC · official Ranger skills ↗ · FRESHY · 2026-09-24 ↗ · TheWhelps · 2026-09-28 ↗ · aLuckyRO · 2026-09-04 ↗

Arcana planning

Build recommendation

TheWhelps shows Vigor Time chalice, Vigor Life parchment, a skill-appropriate Magic Death or Vigor Freedom compass, Magic Destruction bell and Wisdom mirror. Select the actual skill rolls: Focused Eye on mirror, Hunter's Resolve on bell, Dead Shot/Gale Arrow on compass, and Snipe/Tempest Shot or another needed rank on parchment. Treat this as one creator configuration, not an unconditional set ranking.

Genus: budget before perfect rolls

Build recommendation

TheWhelps recommends opening the available slots and then targeting useful rolls. Slot 4 can offer PvE/general damage boost; slots 1/5 attack, 3/6/9 accuracy or critical, 2/8 HP and 7 defense in his demonstrated setup. Locking rolls increases the cost. Keep an affordable useful result before chasing multiple perfect stats; verify the pool shown by your current slot.

In-game macro and manual controls

Build recommendation

Use the built-in macro only for the repeatable damage portion you have tested. Keep control breaks, important defensives, group healing, charged casts and unsafe movement deliberate. Start with basic-attack/spender resource weaving, then add one priority at a time. Verify that attacks actually fire and the resource bar stays stable. Creator delay values depend on speed, latency and input settings; copy the logic before the timing.

Common mistakes and source disagreements

Build recommendation

All five Mastery Specialty options are available at total level 16, but the third selection slot opens at total 20; the slot thresholds are 8, 12 and 20. FRESHY and TheWhelps disagree on the fourth Stigma and some armor affixes. aLuckyRO prefers one control mode for automatic basics; TheWhelps uses another with skill queue. Choose the setup whose actual input behavior works for you.

Upgrade order and a useful practice check

Build recommendation

Spend to remove the current bottleneck, then retest under comparable conditions.

  1. Make the four-slot loadout functional and equip the useful early specialties.
  2. Complete the main bonus-rank threshold through the cheapest available combination of board and equipment.
  3. Address misses, resource failure or deaths before chasing a marginal damage reroll.
  4. Practice a full sustained window, then a moving/interrupting window; track missed procs and expired buffs.
  5. Reassess the flex slot for the next dungeon rather than copying a fixed preset everywhere.
