Passive skills & investment priorities

Max these passives first — in this order

For Dungeon, put your passive upgrade points into the priority skills below. Max the first one, then the next, until this list is complete. Do not spread points across optional passives first.

  1. Absorb Essence — max Base Lv. 10
  2. Robe of Flame — max Base Lv. 10
  3. Fire Mark — max Base Lv. 10
  4. Grace of Enhancement — max Base Lv. 10

Absorb Essence

1. Max first · Base Lv. 10

Raises physical/mental effect accuracy and restores MP when attacks land.

Prioritize early when a sustained rotation otherwise runs out of mana.

Robe of Flame

2. Max first · Base Lv. 10

Raises accuracy, PvE/PvP damage amplification and a bonus-hit stat.

A main offensive passive before low-impact utility investments.

Fire Mark

3. Max first · Base Lv. 10

Fire hits apply a mark that can trigger extra damage on subsequent fire hits.

Enables Blaze and supports repeated fire attacks; maintain the condition on the current target.

Grace of Enhancement

4. Max first · Base Lv. 10

Provides damage amplification above an MP threshold and can add damage on hit.

Maintain resources to preserve the damage benefit; even initial investment can be useful.

Optional passives — after your priorities

Keep these at their initial rank while completing the priority list. Invest leftover points only when their effect helps your build or encounter.

Robe of Earth

Optional · upgrade after the priority list

Raises maximum MP and natural MP recovery; grants critical above 50% MP.

Supports early mana stability and rewards avoiding an empty resource bar.

Frost Summoning

Optional · upgrade after the priority list

Attacks against slowed targets can cause extra damage.

Use alongside a valid slow; do not assume it contributes when an encounter rejects the condition.

Grace of Resistance

Optional · upgrade after the priority list

Raises mental and impact resistance.

A situational defensive investment for relevant mechanics or PvP.

Robe of Frost

Optional · upgrade after the priority list

Raises defense and critical resistance and slows enemies that attack the caster.

Useful under pressure; it is not a reason to intentionally take avoidable hits.

Revival Contract

Optional · upgrade after the priority list

Raises status resistance, gains resistance under specified control and heals at low HP.

An emergency passive, not a substitute for defensive positioning.

Life Evaporation

Optional · upgrade after the priority list

Adds damage when the target is above a specified HP threshold.

Useful for the healthy portion of bosses and fresh packs; value changes across the fight.

GLOBAL EU · Magic damage

Sorcerer consumables

Prepare for sustained MP spending as well as burst. Mana Potion reduces costs; Mana Serum restores MP immediately. Choose the tool that solves your current resource problem.

Role recommendations are editorial. Item effects come from NC’s Global EU records, checked 30 September 2026; the rest of this class guide keeps its own region scope.

Before attacking

Power Shard (Bound)

Activate for attack windows; ordinary shards are the budget starting point.

Timed combat buff

Courage Scroll (Bound)

Check the five-minute timer before a serious pull.

Food choice

Artisan's Roasted Fogus (Bound)

An all-faction attack/accuracy food option from supplies and rewards. A practical choice when already owned; check stock before buying alternatives.

Role priority

Mana Potion

Use before a long, mana-intensive fight: this reduces MP costs for five minutes. It does not instantly refill your mana bar.

Personal emergency

Life Crystal (Bound)

Check the level requirement. Keep instant recovery reachable; avoid overhealing.

Add a faction-compatible MP regeneration drink when sustain is limiting. Combat Speed and MP-cost reduction have different jobs; neither is a guarantee of a specific DPS gain.

Battle Enhance Scroll (Bound) is an optional damage-and-survival addition for serious attempts. Superior Healing Potion is a personal cleanse for eligible effects, not an HP heal.

Quick start: role, strengths and tradeoffs

Build recommendation

Sorcerer layers personal damage windows, elemental ground effects and a charged Hellfire. At developed ranks, Blaze and Wish of Concentration form a cooldown engine; before that point, MP management determines how long the rotation can continue.

TopicPractical meaning
StrengthStrong planned burst, persistent elemental damage and useful control options.
TradeoffCharge windows, ground placement and MP-sensitive passives punish poor movement planning.
Progression changeThe level-16 reset interactions fundamentally change priority; use the early plan until the required options are equipped.

Choose a four-slot PvE Stigma loadout

Build recommendation

Equip one row, not every listed Stigma simultaneously. These are editorial presets derived from the mechanics and reviewed builds; change the flex slot for an actual encounter requirement.

PresetFour StigmasWhen to use it
Four-slot offensive PvEElemental Enhancement; Delayed Explosion; Firewall; Cold Stormberdugz' sustained/burst combination.
Progression defenseElemental Enhancement; Delayed Explosion; Firewall; Steel BarrierReplace a damage flex with a predictable shield.
Alternative defenseElemental Enhancement; Delayed Explosion; Cold Storm; Arctic ArmorUse when its defensive/resource interaction suits the encounter; preserve enough MP for it.

Before the pull

Build recommendation

Check your preset, resource bar, selected specialties and party assignments before starting. A developed rotation only works when its rank-dependent effects are actually equipped.

  1. Confirm the party role and required survival or control tool.
  2. Confirm your main skill-rank thresholds in the skill screen after changing gear.
  3. Use the appropriate consumable and position for both damage and party support.
  4. Identify the first dangerous mechanic and reserve the skill that answers it.

Evidence: NC · official Sorcerer skills ↗ · berdugz · 2026-09-23 ↗

Opening rotation: step by step

Build recommendation

Use this as a decision sequence. Skip unavailable conditional skills and interrupt for mechanics; do not stand idle waiting for the entire opener to return.

  1. Early build: use Wish of Concentration and Elemental Enhancement with the target available.
  2. Apply Delayed Explosion before the major damage lands.
  3. Fully charge Hellfire, then establish Firewall, Cold Storm and the repeat damage effects as available.
  4. Use Firestorm, Bitter Cold Wind and Blaze while weaving Flame Arrow for resources.
  5. Developed reset build: spend the major cooldowns before Wish of Concentration's cooldown-reduction effect, then use the recovered opportunity instead of following the early opener rigidly.

Evidence: NC · official Sorcerer skills ↗ · berdugz · 2026-09-23 ↗ · aLuckyRO · 2026-09-15 ↗ · Eldarin · 2026-09-16 ↗

Single-target priority and resource loop

Build recommendation

The next correct action depends on buffs, target state, resources and the upcoming mechanic.

PriorityActionExecution
1Safety / MP thresholdMove, shield or restore MP before losing both survival and resource-dependent damage.
2Personal damage windowAlign Elemental Enhancement and Delayed Explosion with actual casts.
3HellfireFull charge in a safe window; use the reset opportunity when it genuinely becomes available.
4Blaze / Wish of Concentration engineUse the equipped developed reset specialties; they are not base-rank effects.
5Firestorm / Bitter Cold Wind / Flame ArrowMaintain damage and resources. Ice Chain is more attractive for packs than as automatic developed single-target filler.

Skill progression and specialty milestones

Build recommendation

Total skill level includes bonus ranks. Mastery Specialty slots open at total levels 8, 12 and 20: one, two and three slots respectively. All five options are available at total 16, but only two can be selected until total 20. Stigma milestones are separate and must be read on the specific skill.

SkillMilestoneWhat changes
Flame ArrowEarly MP; developed 16Later option resets Blaze in the reviewed loop.
BlazeDeveloped 16Reduces Wish of Concentration cooldown in the source build.
Wish of ConcentrationDeveloped 16Ten-second cooldown reduction shown by the creator; spend major cooldowns before using it.
HellfireEarly faster chargeImproves the chance of completing the cast safely.
FirestormSelected developed optionProjectile hits reduce Hellfire cooldown; missed projectiles do not provide the demonstrated full sequence.
Firewall / Cold StormStigma 5 in berdugz' planOn-hit interactions reward overlapping repeated damage.
Main Mastery skills8 / 12 / 20 slotsLevel 16 adds an option; it does not by itself unlock a third slot.

Passive skills: what earns its points

Build recommendation

Absorb Essence is an early priority when MP constrains the loop. Robe of Flame supports offense; Robe of Earth improves resources and critical above 50% MP. Fire Mark enables the fire sequence, and Grace of Enhancement rewards maintaining its MP condition. Keep defensive passives where the encounter actually requires them rather than classifying all resistance as irrelevant to PvE.

Evidence: NC · official Sorcerer skills ↗ · berdugz · 2026-09-23 ↗ · aLuckyRO · 2026-09-15 ↗ · Eldarin · 2026-09-16 ↗

Packs, area damage and farming

Build recommendation

Place ground effects where enemies are grouped and likely to remain, then use Ice Chain and the relevant area skills. Firewall and Cold Storm apply periodic effects with their own movement interactions; distinguish those from the ground area itself. Do not spend every area cooldown before the tank finishes gathering the pack.

Evidence: NC · official Sorcerer skills ↗ · berdugz · 2026-09-23 ↗ · aLuckyRO · 2026-09-15 ↗ · Eldarin · 2026-09-16 ↗

Group mechanics, survival and utility

Build recommendation

Plan where to stand before the charge begins. Use Steel Barrier or Arctic Armor before pressure, reserve Shock Release and do not cast into boss invulnerability. If forced to move, use the mobile skills available in the actual preset and resume the charge sequence when the window is safe.

Evidence: NC · official Sorcerer skills ↗ · berdugz · 2026-09-23 ↗ · aLuckyRO · 2026-09-15 ↗ · Eldarin · 2026-09-16 ↗

Daevanion: route priorities

Build recommendation

Build reachable offense and core active ranks toward the reset thresholds. berdugz uses board ranks to approach the mid-teens, then accessories/Arcana to complete 16. Count the whole connected path and preserve MP stability; a damage route that leaves the character unable to cast is not a practical improvement.

Select the destination, inspect all prerequisite nodes and compare the total cost. A nearby useful passive can make a slightly different route better than the shortest route through irrelevant bonuses. Save the preset before testing a different role.

Evidence: NC · Daevanion ↗ · NC · official Sorcerer skills ↗ · berdugz · 2026-09-23 ↗

Bonus skill ranks: board, accessories and Arcana

Build recommendation

Plan Flame Arrow, Blaze and Wish of Concentration together because the developed engine depends on all of their selected effects. After that, evaluate total-20 slots on the highest-contributing damage skills. Basic points alone do not supply every developed rank; record the contribution of board, gear and Arcana.

Evidence: NC · official Sorcerer skills ↗ · berdugz · 2026-09-23 ↗ · aLuckyRO · 2026-09-15 ↗ · Eldarin · 2026-09-16 ↗

Gear and stat decisions

Build recommendation

Prioritize a weapon upgrade that improves sustained output, enough accuracy to connect, and useful attack/critical/damage amplification. Cast/combat-speed value depends on the skills and the safe charge windows you can actually complete. Retain MP support while resource-dependent passives drop out frequently. Do not compare only one full-mana burst and ignore the following minute.

Compare the same encounter and buff conditions. Accuracy is a requirement against the actual target, not one universal number. A rank threshold, a survivable hit or a sustainable resource loop can be worth more than a small increase in displayed combat power.

Build recommendation

Use this as an upgrade worksheet. Exact affix pools and item tiers depend on the item record; do not assume every desired effect can roll on every slot.

Arcana planning

Build recommendation

Complete the three-part reset engine before scattering rank rolls across rarely used control spells. Then compare Hellfire and other main damage ranks with the offered set effect. The reviewed videos do not establish a universal named BiS set for every stage, so the purchase target is the functional rank plan.

In-game macro and manual controls

Build recommendation

Use the built-in macro only for the repeatable damage portion you have tested. Keep control breaks, important defensives, group healing, charged casts and unsafe movement deliberate. Start with basic-attack/spender resource weaving, then add one priority at a time. Verify that attacks actually fire and the resource bar stays stable. Creator delay values depend on speed, latency and input settings; copy the logic before the timing.

Common mistakes and source disagreements

Build recommendation

A charged spell released by a simple macro can lose the intended full-charge damage. Frost Burst activation against control-immune targets does not bypass damage immunity. Delayed Explosion's official increase is damage from its caster, not a blanket party damage buff. A six-Stigma demonstration cannot be copied into four slots.

Upgrade order and a useful practice check

Build recommendation

Spend to remove the current bottleneck, then retest under comparable conditions.

  1. Make the four-slot loadout functional and equip the useful early specialties.
  2. Complete the main bonus-rank threshold through the cheapest available combination of board and equipment.
  3. Address misses, resource failure or deaths before chasing a marginal damage reroll.
  4. Practice a full sustained window, then a moving/interrupting window; track missed procs and expired buffs.
  5. Reassess the flex slot for the next dungeon rather than copying a fixed preset everywhere.
