Farm LOADOUT
Stigmas
Equip these 4 Stigmas
The same damage core also works for farming.
Elusive Clone
Stigma Lv. 1 → 5 → 10Temporarily removes Heartcore's recast and adds damage to attacks.
Later progression reference beyond the current Lv. 10 target: Use in this set: Heartcore burst window.
Swift Contract
Stigma Lv. 1 → 5 → 10Temporarily increases combat speed.
Use in this set: Combat-speed buff.
Triniel's Dagger
Stigma Lv. 1 → 5 → 10Damages the target, increases enemy skill cooldowns and gains damage from behind.
Use in this set: Rear damage; rank-10 cooldown synergy.
Savage Fang
Stigma Lv. 1 → 5 → 10Damages enemies and engraves Insignias.
Use in this set: Fast Insignia setup.
Stigma upgrade priority — target Lv. 10
Unlock your four equipped Stigmas at Lv. 1 first. Then upgrade them toward Lv. 10 in this order, using Lv. 5 as an intermediate checkpoint. These are investment targets, not the game’s maximum ranks. Upgrade a situational replacement when you actually use it; do not spend on every alternative first.
- Elusive Clone — Lv. 1 → 5 → 10 · Heartcore burst window
- Swift Contract — Lv. 1 → 5 → 10 · Combat-speed buff
- Triniel's Dagger — Lv. 1 → 5 → 10 · Rear damage; rank-10 cooldown synergy
- Savage Fang — Lv. 1 → 5 → 10 · Fast Insignia setup
For a regular situational setup, the replacement takes the removed skill’s place in this order. Source notes about other ranks describe those ranks; they are not Lv. 10 effects.
Learn the four choices at 1; work toward useful rank-5 goals before later upgrades.
Stigmas level with Shards. They do not use Mastery Specialty slots.
Other Stigmas — optional reference
Smoke Bomb
Stigma Lv. 1 → 5 → 10Damages and blinds the target.
Not equipped in this set. Situational alternative.
Evasive Stance
Stigma Lv. 1 → 5 → 10Channelled guaranteed evasion; successful evasion restores MP and stamina.

Not equipped in this set. Situational alternative.
Shadow Walk
Stigma Lv. 1 → 5 → 10Out-of-combat stealth; entering combat ends the effect.
Not equipped in this set. Situational alternative.
Shadow Blade Toss
Stigma Lv. 1 → 5 → 10Ranged damage that slows the target.
Not equipped in this set. Situational alternative.
Aerial Bind
Stigma Lv. 1 → 5 → 10Damages and can restrain a target in the air; five Insignias strengthen the control condition.

Not equipped in this set. Situational alternative.
Shadow Step
Stigma Lv. 1 → 5 → 10Damages a target and moves the caster backward.
Not equipped in this set. Situational alternative.
Situational Stigmas
Choose these Stigmas only when the situation applies. Replace the named skill before the encounter and keep exactly four equipped.
Evasive Stance
Situation: Solo pulls becoming dangerous?
Change one slot: From the recommended starting set, replace Savage Fang with Evasive Stance. Keep the other three Stigmas.
Complete alternative set: Elusive Clone + Swift Contract + Triniel's Dagger + Evasive Stance.
Evasive Stance
Situational · Stigma Lv. 1 → 5 → 10Channelled guaranteed evasion; successful evasion restores MP and stamina.
Use it: Use deliberately for a dangerous incoming attack instead of inside a damage macro.
Each example starts from its named set. If you combine changes, check that the outgoing skill is still equipped and that the final bar contains four Stigmas.
Play it in 3 steps
- Activate damage buffs while the target is reachable.
- Savage Fang → Insignia Explosion; use Heartcore opportunities.
- Weave Quick Slice and Savage Roar; move safely to the next target.

Macro Guide
PvE practice layout · adapted to this activity’s equipped Stigmas · Reviewed 9 Oct 2026
Copy the columns, then choose comfortable keys. These are example bindings. Hover or focus a skill for its effects; on touch screens, tap to inspect it.
Skill bar placement
Top: row 3 · Bottom: row 0, checked first. Gold columns belong to the macro.
Example keys: upper manual slots use Shift. Scroll the bar sideways on smaller screens.
0 → 1 → 2 → 3: the first usable skill wins. A repeatable filler placed too early can prevent later skills from firing.
Manual skills · separate bindings
These complete the bar with every remaining active skill and equipped Stigma. Keep each on a separate binding outside the repeating macro. Numbers identify manual slots, not required keys or a cast order. Passive skills do not occupy bar slots.
Set up the in-game macro
- Arrange the columns as shown in the Skill screen. Open Macro and add these quick-slot columns:
- Bind Macro to a spare key, for example RMB, in Settings → Key Settings → General. Keep that binding separate from the Q/E columns.
- For an initial test, use 50 ms per entry as an editorial starting point. Test on a target dummy; this is not a measured optimum. Reduce or increase it only after checking which skills actually fire.
- Hold the macro key during safe damage uptime; release it to stop. Use the basic attack as described below. Manual input takes priority. Step order is not guaranteed: this is not a fixed one-press combo.
Mouse macro bindings need a compatible control mode; check AION 2 Control Mode if they do not work. Preset changes stop the macro. Recheck the columns in each preset.
Only Stigmas equipped in this guide’s current starting set are shown; keep exactly four equipped. When you swap a Stigma, replace its bar slot too.
Written placement · highest priority first
- LMB: Quick Slice.
- Q: 0: Insignia Explosion → 1: Heartcore → 2: Ambush → 3: Savage Roar.
Separate manual slots
- 2: Elusive Clone
- 3: Swift Contract
- 4: Savage Fang
- 5: Triniel's Dagger
- 6: Shadow Strike
- 7: Flash Slice
- 8: Infiltrate
- 9: Whirlwind Slice
- 0: Shock Release
- -: Storm Rampage
- =: Shadow Fall
Hold Quick Slice on LMB together with the macro key during safe damage uptime. Release for movement, mechanics or manual casts.
How to use this layout
- Build Insignias, then let the damage column use Insignia Explosion and an available Heartcore proc before its fillers. Heartcore is also called Heart Gore in some English references.
- Heartcore's cooldown-removal Specialty unlocks at total Lv. 16; before selecting it, the fillers appear more often. Keep Quick Slice available for MP and your selected reset effects.
- Trigger equipped burst buffs manually as a set, then use Triniel's Dagger when its cooldown reduction is useful. Save Shadow Strike and mobility for positioning; do not spend them repeatedly just because the macro is held.
Editorial layout, not an in-game DPS benchmark. Regional names, skill levels and selected Specialties can change its behavior. Community class guide · source comparisons · English in-game macro controls.
Passive skills & investment priorities
Max these passives first — in this order
For Farm, put your passive upgrade points into the priority skills below. Max the first one, then the next, until this list is complete. Do not spread points across optional passives first.
- Apply Poison — max Base Lv. 10
- Assault Stance — max Base Lv. 10
- Revival Contract — max Base Lv. 10
Apply Poison
1. Max first · Base Lv. 10Attacks can apply poison damage over time and reduce received healing.
Useful pressure/anti-healing; do not value it above the core burst passives without an encounter reason.
Assault Stance
2. Max first · Base Lv. 10Increases critical damage amplification.
Develop alongside sufficient critical chance and Heartcore availability.
Revival Contract
3. Max first · Base Lv. 10Adds status resistance and conditional recovery at low health, with further resistance under control.
Personal safety for pressure windows; keep active escape available.
Optional passives — after your priorities
Keep these at their initial rank while completing the priority list. Invest leftover points only when their effect helps your build or encounter.
Enhanced Sixth Sense
Optional · upgrade after the priority listIncreases evasion and maximum HP; evading restores HP.
An early safety option when solo damage intake is the limiting factor.
Exploit Weakness
Optional · upgrade after the priority listIncreases critical; critical hits can summon clones that damage and apply Insignias.
One of the first offensive passives to prioritize.
Rear Smite
Optional · upgrade after the priority listIncreases rear damage and PvE/PvP damage amplification.
A main reason to maintain rear positioning through the fight.
Impact Hit
Optional · upgrade after the priority listIncreases impact-type hit and a bonus-strike stat.
A developed offensive passive after Exploit Weakness and Rear Smite.
Ambush Stance
Optional · upgrade after the priority listMovement and rush skills grant a chance-based additional-damage effect.
Reposition with purpose; do not dash into danger merely to activate a passive.
Defense Crack
Optional · upgrade after the priority listHits against impact-controlled targets reduce defense and status resistance.
A control-dependent debuff; its value changes against immune bosses.
Resolve
Optional · upgrade after the priority listAdds damage against targets below a health threshold.
An execute-oriented option after the primary damage passives.
Recommended substats
Soul BindingRandom equipment lines: choose from the actual item's available pool. These are practical priorities, not universal stat weights or socket recommendations.
Assassin: keep your critical-dependent rotation consistent before chasing more Critical Damage Boost. Back-attack damage only pays off while you can stay behind the target.
Substats by equipment slot
Starting targets for this role. A listed alternative is useful only if that item can roll it; this is not a required full set of lines.
| Equipment slot | Look for first | Useful alternatives |
|---|---|---|
| Weapon / off-hand | Combat Speed · Weapon Damage Boost · Damage Boost | Might · Precision · Active skill levels |
| Head | Double Chance · Attack increase | Passive skill levels |
| Shoulders | Double Chance · Critical Damage Boost | Passive skill levels |

| Earrings | Might · Passive skill levels | Precision · Move Speed |
| Necklace | Combat Speed · Might | Passive skill levels |
| Rings | Active skill levels | Might · Precision |
| Bracelets | Time · Destruction | Wisdom · Illusion |
Skill-level lines
Rings and weapons can supply active levels; armor, earrings and necklaces can supply passive levels. Compare the next level's benefit before replacing a strong stat line.
Active skills to inspect: Quick Slice · Savage Roar · Heartcore
Passive skills to inspect: Apply Poison · Assault Stance · Revival Contract
These follow this build's skill priorities, not a measured ranking of gear rolls. Total 16 opens all Specialty options; total 20 opens the third slot. Count gear, Arcana and Daevanion together.
Before spending on rerolls
- Keep a useful rare line first. Improve affordable secondary lines afterward; do not chase perfect rolls on temporary gear.
- Accuracy and Critical Hit needs change with buffs and enemy defenses. Check real encounters instead of copying an unverified cap.
- Attack increase is a percentage line; Attack is a flat line. Cooldown Reduction is not an ordinary roll on every slot; Illusion is one way to obtain cooldown support.

GLOBAL EU · Melee damage
Assassin consumables
Prepare offensive consumables before committing to a damage window. Use movement speed to recover positioning instead of spending expensive buffs while out of range.
Role recommendations are editorial. Item effects come from NC’s Global EU records, checked 30 September 2026; the rest of this class guide keeps its own region scope.
Before attacking
Activate for attack windows; ordinary shards are the budget starting point.
Food choice
An all-faction attack/accuracy food option from supplies and rewards. A practical choice when already owned; check stock before buying alternatives.
Role priority
A stronger movement option for movement-heavy encounters. Keep it separate from Combat Speed in your preparation checklist.
Personal emergency
Check the level requirement. Keep instant recovery reachable; avoid overhealing.
Choose attack/accuracy food while landing hits is the priority. The critical-hit meal is an alternative for eligible Elyos characters, not an automatic upgrade for every setup.
Battle Enhance Scroll (Bound) is an optional damage-and-survival addition for serious attempts.
Superior Healing Potion is a personal cleanse for eligible effects, not an HP heal.
Quick start: role, strengths and tradeoffs
Build recommendationAssassin converts rear positioning, Insignias and critical-triggered Heartcore windows into burst damage. The developed loop is much faster than a limited-point leveling setup; copying the final macro before its rank unlocks produces a different result.
| Topic | Practical meaning |
|---|---|
| Strength | Focused burst with rear bonuses, critical procs and rapid repeat attacks. |
| Tradeoff | Boss turning, movement downtime and mistimed buff windows directly reduce output. |
| Party role | Damage and controlled utility; survival and rear access matter more than a stationary dummy sequence. |
Choose a four-slot PvE Stigma loadout
Build recommendationEquip one row, not every listed Stigma simultaneously. These are editorial presets derived from the mechanics and reviewed builds; change the flex slot for an actual encounter requirement.
| Preset | Four Stigmas | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Developed PvE core | Burst buffs, cooldown interaction and an immediate Insignia setup. | |
| Early four-slot plan | Use available ranks; do not assume level-16 critical resets or level-20 duration. | |
| Survival flex | Replace the fourth offensive slot with | Use a specific defensive answer when deaths prevent progress; rebuild Insignias through your normal attacks. |
Before the pull
Build recommendationCheck your preset, resource bar, selected specialties and party assignments before starting. A developed rotation only works when its rank-dependent effects are actually equipped.
- Confirm the party role and required survival or control tool.
- Confirm your main skill-rank thresholds in the skill screen after changing gear.
- Use the appropriate consumable and position for both damage and party support.
- Identify the first dangerous mechanic and reserve the skill that answers it.
Opening rotation: step by step
Build recommendationUse this as a decision sequence. Skip unavailable conditional skills and interrupt for mechanics; do not stand idle waiting for the entire opener to return.
- Activate
Elusive Clone and
Swift Contract when the boss can be attacked through the buff window.
- Use
Shadow Strike to establish rear position and the selected offensive specialty.
- Use
Triniel's Dagger after your buffs when its current-cooldown reduction milestone is available.
- Use
Savage Fang to establish Insignias, then
Insignia Explosion. Spend
Heartcore procs immediately within the damage priority.
- Continue
Savage Roar with
Quick Slice weaving; refresh the burst cycle only when rear access and target uptime are available.
Single-target priority and resource loop
Build recommendationThe next correct action depends on buffs, target state, resources and the upcoming mechanic.
| Priority | Action | Execution |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Safe rear access | Follow boss facing without crossing a lethal mechanic. |
| 2 | Use the critical-triggered opportunity; the level-16 reset option is central to the developed loop. | |
| 3 | Consume the intended stack count; watch the selected stack-retention specialty. | |
| 4 | Build/spend and restore MP rather than holding the spender until empty. | |
| 5 | At its developed cooldown specialty, use during stagger when major buffs need recovery, not automatically during active burst. |
Skill progression and specialty milestones
Build recommendationTotal skill level includes bonus ranks. Mastery Specialty slots open at total levels 8, 12 and 20: one, two and three slots respectively. All five options are available at total 16, but only two can be selected until total 20. Stigma milestones are separate and must be read on the specific skill.
| Skill | Milestone | What changes |
|---|---|---|
| Early 8; developed 16 | Start with MP recovery; later critical/reset synergy changes the loop. | |
| Early specialty | MP reduction or speed according to resource stability. | |
| Total level 16 | Critical-reset option is a key developed milestone; early HP absorption is a different goal. | |
| Useful specialty unlocks | Cooldown, multihit and stack-retention choices depend on the source build. | |
| Level 10 in Grobs' build | Current cooldown reduction; distinguish from the base enemy-cooldown increase. | |
| Later level 20 goal | Longer developed burst window after the functional core is established. |
Passive skills: what earns its points
Build recommendationPrioritize effects that actually support your rear and critical loop. Rear Smite and rear-related passives lose value when you attack from the wrong side.
Apply Poison and
Defense Crack support sustained pressure. Keep
Revival Contract as safety where needed, and do not translate conditional impact bonuses into guaranteed damage against an immune boss.
Packs, area damage and farming
Build recommendationFor packs, maintain resource recovery and use the relevant area attacks without abandoning safe positioning. Ambush and
Whirlwind Slice can serve early sustain or area needs even though Grobs deprioritizes them for his developed single-target damage. Do not label an entire skill useless because it loses in one geared boss test.
Group mechanics, survival and utility
Build recommendationHold burst when a boss is about to become invulnerable or move out of reach. Reposition after tank turns, keep Shock Release separate and use the boss-facing indicator. If a dangerous phase removes rear access, survive it and rebuild rather than dying to preserve a conditional damage bonus.
Daevanion: route priorities
Build recommendationRoute to Heartcore and
Quick Slice functional ranks, then the core spender/Insignia engine and relevant rear/critical passives. Favor connected offensive value on the way to those thresholds. Spend for a specific total rank and stop paying for distant utility nodes that do not support the current preset. Preserve a separate PvP preset rather than mixing control choices into every PvE slot.
Select the destination, inspect all prerequisite nodes and compare the total cost. A nearby useful passive can make a slightly different route better than the shortest route through irrelevant bonuses. Save the preset before testing a different role.
Bonus skill ranks: board, accessories and Arcana
Build recommendationAdd basic skill points, Daevanion, accessories and Arcana to plan the total-16 reset milestones. Once those work, evaluate total-20 extra specialty slots on your main damage skills. A duplicate bonus rank that reaches no useful threshold can be less valuable than one rank completing Heartcore or
Quick Slice.
Gear and stat decisions
Build recommendationBuild for reliable rear uptime, critical-trigger consistency and sufficient accuracy for the target, then compare attack, combat speed and damage amplification. Rear damage is conditional: do not treat it as permanently active during forced frontal mechanics. Keep enough HP/tolerance to survive the content. The reviewed sources do not establish one named-item BiS list for every region.
Compare the same encounter and buff conditions. Accuracy is a requirement against the actual target, not one universal number. A rank threshold, a survivable hit or a sustainable resource loop can be worth more than a small increase in displayed combat power.
Equipment checklist by slot
Build recommendationUse this as an upgrade worksheet. Exact affix pools and item tiers depend on the item record; do not assume every desired effect can roll on every slot.
| Slot | Look for | Decision rule |
|---|---|---|
| Weapon / offhand | Main damage and available offensive rolls | Compare attack, useful speed/amplification and cost; retain the core skill-rank plan. |
| Armor | Survival and relevant specialty affixes | Solve the mechanic that kills you; then compare offensive affixes actually present in that item pool. |
| Gloves / boots | Useful speed and movement | Movement improves mechanic execution; speed value depends on the class loop. |
| Rings / accessories | Functional skill ranks and appropriate stats | Complete a useful total-rank threshold before paying heavily for cosmetic combat-power gains. |
| Manastones / rerolls | One affordable useful improvement first | Do not exhaust the budget chasing several perfect rolls on an item being replaced soon. |
| Arcana | Ranks plus a coherent set effect | Count the resulting skill levels after each replacement. |
Arcana planning
Build recommendationChoose ranks completing Heartcore,
Quick Slice and
Insignia Explosion before spreading rolls across low-use control attacks. Evaluate damage/passive rolls against the actual thresholds and set effects shown on your character. Keep the burst-specialty plan intact when replacing a piece.
Food buffs and sustain
Build recommendationThe linked items below are official reference-client crafted-food records. Values and durations belong to those records. Choose a food that solves the current damage, resource or survival need; do not assume overlapping food effects stack.
| Food | Duration | Official-record effects |
|---|---|---|
| White Dragon Beef Wellington ↗ / Black Dragon Beef Wellington ↗ | 300 seconds | Attack 16, defense 162, accuracy 12, status resistance 3%, stamina 300; faction variants. |
| White Dragon Fruit Juice ↗ | 300 seconds | Natural MP recovery 36, flight 60 and stamina recovery 50%; useful for mana-constrained classes. |
| White Dragon Chop Steak ↗ | 300 seconds | HP 148, MP 74, defense 162, block 12, status resistance 3%, stamina 300. |
| White Dragon Seafood Pasta ↗ | 300 seconds | Critical 12, evasion 12, block 12, status resistance 3%, stamina 300. |
In-game macro and manual controls
Build recommendationUse the built-in macro only for the repeatable damage portion you have tested. Keep control breaks, important defensives, group healing, charged casts and unsafe movement deliberate. Start with basic-attack/spender resource weaving, then add one priority at a time. Verify that attacks actually fire and the resource bar stays stable. Creator delay values depend on speed, latency and input settings; copy the logic before the timing.
Common mistakes and source disagreements
Build recommendationGrobs favors retaining two Insignia stacks in his developed setup; aLuckyRO rejects that option for his PvE plan. These are different recommendations, not consensus. Shadow Strike and
Infiltrate can establish rear access, but
Flash Slice moves to the opposite side and is not automatically a rear-position guarantee.
Upgrade order and a useful practice check
Build recommendationSpend to remove the current bottleneck, then retest under comparable conditions.
- Make the four-slot loadout functional and equip the useful early specialties.
- Complete the main bonus-rank threshold through the cheapest available combination of board and equipment.
- Address misses, resource failure or deaths before chasing a marginal damage reroll.
- Practice a full sustained window, then a moving/interrupting window; track missed procs and expired buffs.
- Reassess the flex slot for the next dungeon rather than copying a fixed preset everywhere.
