Storage and alts: what belongs where
Distinguish Cube, Character Storage, Server Storage and shared allowances before moving items or claiming rewards.
By AION2 Codex · Reviewed · Global-focused, source-scoped guidance
Quick answer
Read the item’s storage permission, not just the word Bound. Choose the receiving character before claiming a reward that is limited to one account.
Your next three steps
- Check whether the item permits Character or Server Storage.
- Check whether the activity allowance is character- or server-wide.
- Claim valuable account rewards on the character you intend to keep.
Three containers
Cube is your carried inventory. Character Storage belongs to that character; Server Storage is shared by characters on the same server. The reference reports that some crafting and enhancement actions can use Character Storage directly. Bound items do not all have the same storage permissions.
An alt is not a fresh allowance for everything
Some reward limits are per character, others per server. An account claim can deliver items to one chosen character without making every resulting item account-wide. Membership scope, currencies, mail and collections also have separate rules.
- Read the reward’s recipient before claiming.
- Check the current activity count after switching character.
- For a server transfer, inspect the current transfer notice for storage, mail and market listings.
When the inventory fills
Sort future recipe materials from immediate equipment and consumables. Compare the next storage expansion cost with the space it adds. Before extracting an item, check conversion uses and skins. If an item was lost accidentally, inspect the game recovery menu and current support rules promptly; recovery is not guaranteed.

Sources, evidence & version scope
Storage and transfer permissions vary by item and update. Historical recovery windows are not presented as a guarantee of restoration.
